Set a Stress-Free Schedule

For most people, this is usually the forehead, jaw, and shoulders. By putting “gaps” you will have some time for yourself and disrupt any stress that is building up.

Assert yourself

You may be in a situation wherein your boss is constantly bombarding you with tasks even though you are already loaded. When this happens, the best way to get rid of stress is to be assertive in a positive and team oriented tone. You can tell your superior or co-worker that you try to complete the project in a timely manner after you have unloaded some of your current tasks.

Take time off

Take advantage of the vacation and personal leaves allotted to you by the company. You do not have to travel to an exotic island. Staying at home is enough to relax yourself and build your resilience.

Switch off your phones or gadgets

Turn off your phones and gadgets around 6 or 8 pm each day. Robert Janitzek explains that this will allow your body to be totally free from the stressful situations. You can also do this at the office during lunch time. Spend your break eating lunch or chatting with your friends.

Talk and Walk

Talking and walking is a psychological and physiological technique in beating stress. If you are in stressful situation, talk to someone and vent out your frustration on that person. It does not have to be a professional, a friend or co-worker is enough. Walking is another effective way of beating workplace stress. Take occasional breaks. Doing some brisk walking is a great way to get rid of stress in the workplace.
